Kaleb Turned 3!!!

It was a wintery day, one of the few times snow was on the ground in Clarkston. It was your average Saturday morning, not a lot of traffic, not a lot of people out, a good day for a walk. After a nice long walk, something hit me!?! Then it hit me again!?! And again?! What could this be? A little boy ready to enter the world? before I knew it, I am in a hospital gown walking the floors waiting for the arrival of my sweet little Kaleb. Then on December 31st, 2005 at 5:12 pm (25 hours later) something amazing happened, the doctor placed the most precious little human being in my hands. my very own creation. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was complaining that "this baby is never going to come out" and now I hear those words ring in my head as I say that "this boy is never going to be potty trained"!!! New Years Eve is a special day all on its own, but for our house its a little more special than usual, it is Kaleb's birthday! This year he turned 3 years old and I cant believe it. He still seems like my little baby all bundled up in my arms but those memories are interrupted by the familiar sounds of "I want chocolate milk" or "mom, put my cape on"....but nonetheless it is that time of year again and we had a great time celebrating the birth of our (not so) little Kaleb! FIRST (and of most importance) we stayed the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house per Kaleb's request. Then we decorated their house in streamers and balloons! We got a brilliantly bright cupcake cake and sang "happy birthday" to Kaleb and watched him struggle and laugh as he blew out all three candles (i evily placed them at different corners of the cake)!! Then he got to open all of his presents (he must think he's extra special to get more presents a week after Christmas!!) He got a big Bumblebee transformer doll, and an Optimus Prime transformer doll, some bumblebee slippers, a hummer truck that pulls a bass boat, a toy 4-wheeler with a man and a real working fishing pole, and some other stuff too! OH...some "big boy underpants!!" He is so proud he can use the potty standing up now that we though some good underpants were in order! We had a really good day! Although it would be fun to keep a 3 year old up until midnight on New Years Eve (ha ha ha) but he went to bed at 10:00 pm and we all stayed up until the ball dropped playing Wii games (tennis, bowling, boxing, and golf) It was a lot of fun. I really like these little birthdays for now, once he's a little bigger its going to go from family to "mom can tommy, timmy, johnny, james, jason, max, mark, chris, jeff, mike, nick, ted, darrell, marty, martin, henry, oscar, and andrew stay the night?!" GAHHH!!! hehe...we love you all and hope you enjoy the pics! Thanks to everyone for the birthday money and presents for Kaleb, he had a great birthday! x0x0
