Troy Branch Easter Activity

This Saturday the primary presidency put on an Easter activity for the Troy branch. We started off the activity with some visiting with friends and family and getting things ready! The kids gathered around on the floor and anxiously awaited the Easter story! Mercedes (Sister Huff) then used props, the scriptures, and pictures to tell the story of Easter and help the children get a good understanding of the importance the resurrection - hopefully they were able to walk away with a good understanding (or at least a better one) of why we celebrate Easter and how great its importance is to us! Easter is one of my favorite holidays and it is such a great time to reflect on our lives and really think about how blessed we are to know that we will be together forever!

THEN...we all went outside and had an Easter egg hunt. The little ones went out to one side of the yard, and the bigger kids went to the other. It was great fun to watch them scurry around picking up all the eggs and anxiously opening them to see what candy they got!! It was a lot of fun!Silly little Kaleb only went after the blue eggs, rushing around to beat anyone to them!! He didnt end up with a lot of eggs, but they WERE blue!! We had a great Saturday.

We continued to have a great day once we left the church. Afterwards we drove into Moscow and picked up the movie "Underdog" and watched it together as a family that evening. If you haven't seen it yet, you should! It was a great family movie and Kaleb was GLUED to the TV as we watched it! Then we all went to bed, afterall, the Easter bunny was coming in the morning!
